This was a major 90-minute production starring Leslie Banks (as Cyrano), Constance Cummings (Roxane), and James Mason (Christine de Neuvillette); also Kenneth Villiers, Andre Morell, and John Stobart.

Adapted from the version compiled by Robert Loraine, the Edmond Rostand story was produced by George More O'Ferrall; Hyam Greenbaum conducted the BBC Television Orchestra
